It is a hangover!

So this is what a hangover feels like. You go out and party all night surrounded by the most diverse and nicest people ever. You dance, you sweat. You talk, you laugh. You dance again and you feel good. The atmosphere is electric as Groningen meets Limburg and Sweden meets Belgium. All the while, all the colours of the rainbow are meshing together to create the perfect musical universe from South Africa through East Africa passing through the North before settling in the West coast of Africa.

You witness the celebrations of life as the 19 year old shares the same dance floor with the 77 year old. You marvel at the power of the (African) music that defies the age, gender, colour and country divide. You float in that holy trance knowing this is as close to heaven as one could get! Before you know it, it is 03.15 hours and you have to go home. But you’ve not had enough. Because it feels like the night is still young and you want this night to never reach a conclusion.


You wake up the next day feeling like it was all a dream. You go online and see some pictures on Facebook and realise it was a reality you could touch. Your aching legs serve as confirmation of the musical trek you’ve just being through. You want more. But your head aches. It is really Sunday and tomorrow you have to start a new (work) week. You want to scream! It’s just not fair. Your body need its fix like Lance needs his steroids! Yes, it dawns on you, it is a hangover! Or was it an orgasm that was so heavy and blissful it felt too brief? Whatever! Africa Night Tilburg always elevates.

Join us in Nijmegen on Saturday 3-11-2012 as we celebrate the first anniversary of Africa Night Nijmegen. Yes it’s been 1 year since this, the 2^nd longest running Africa Night began. It is impossible to recreate Tilburg in Nijmegen. We are not even going to try. Nijmegen will have its own identity. And that is what we will celebrate. Please join us at Amanne.
