The guests arrived very late. We were concerned that most of the guests did not realise that the 15th was the 3rd Saturday of the month. (January has 5 Saturday s which can be quite confusing for many).
At midnight there were so many women, one could be forgiven that this was the Ladies Night edition of Africa Night.
People were at first reluctant to dance. This is a very rare phenomenon at Africa Night.
This edition effectively started at 12 midnight. Once people started trooping in, they just did not stop!
And once the dancing got started, the guests just stayed glued to the dance floor.
So many new faces from far and near came to enjoy the gift of music.
The Deejays had a great time testing out the new Pioneer set.
When the night was over, the guests were asking for more. Pity they did not come earlier to maximise the Africa Night experience.
If this first show is a sign of things to come in Twenty Eleven, then this is going to be another Africa Night year.
We closed on this day feeling like we won a millions €uros. This is because our guests went home with a satisfied feeling.
Let’s just hope that the first Africa Night in Maastricht on Saturday 22 January will be the beginning of the new Africa Night experience in The Netherlands.
