One of the most loyal crew members of Africa Night will be leaving us after the June edition of Africa Night. Maureen (on the picture) has been an ever present crew member from almost the first Africa Night. At the beginning, she was an employee of the owner of the Albatros (where Africa Night started) but she joined us as soon as the ownership of the establishment changed hands. She has never wavered ever since. Come rain or shine or even sickness, Maureen is almost always present.
Maureen is leaving for a very good reason. She is emigrating! She will take a new full time job from the end of June. Her new job (which is actually her old job!) requires that she relocates to Sweden. We are proud of our association with Maureen over the years. She has always been someone we could rely on. Even though we are very thrilled for her, we will surely miss her. we dare to say she is irreplaceable and we are already facing the prospect of replacing her with a little trepidation. The whole of Africa Night will surely miss her presence and grace.
Maureen, we happy you have been an indispensable part of Africa Night. We are also proud that you have been a friend.
