Writing this blog is always a pleasure. But sometimes it is difficult to pick a theme to talk about. Take the latest Africa Night Nijmegen for example. It was certainly not busy at all. However does one focus on the fact that it was less busy than expected or focus on the fact that the people who came had so much fun?
Sometimes we tend to knock our own heads if things did not go the way we planned. This is especially true if we left one or two stones unturned. This time however, we knew we did our best to get people to be aware of Africa Night Nijmegen August edition. When you are up against the Ramadan and people going or gone away on holidays, you know you have your work cut out. So even though we were frustrated, we knew the number that came last Saturday was the maximum under the circumstance.
The smile on our faces became even broader when the guests came to us at the end of the evening telling us the DJ was on top of his game and they had fun. These are the things money cannot buy. We always encourage our guests to give us feedback. If the feedback is critical and constructive, we listen, learn and adjust. When the feedback is positive, we listen, smile and work even harder. The Africa Night brand was built with the solid bricks of feedback moulded by our guests.
The next Africa Night Nijmegen is on Saturday, 1st September 2012. We are highly confident that the coming edition will signal a turnaround in terms of numbers. However you might want to look at it, it is always more fun to party with the many than to party with the few. To those who have been with us since the beginning of our journey in Nijmegen we thank you for the continued love. To those still waiting in the wings, we urge you to relax and join us. No more excuses.
In the meantime you can join us for the Azonto edition of Africa Night Tilburg on Saturday 18th August at the usual arena in Tilburg city. Get your Azonto masks and gloves ready.
