Let us clear up one thing once and for all. Hopefully! Africa Night has a Facebook profile page like almost everyone nowadays. The profile page is at www.facebook.com/africanight. Many people have come on the chat to ask us about our relationship status. You see on Facebook it says; “in an open relationship”. Some ladies have chatted us up and a lot of men too. These are mostly out of curiosity based on the “in an open relationship” status although we cannot rule out other explanations.
In any case, the explanation is not as exotic or as complicated as most might think. It just simply means we are “in an open relationship” with you all! It is a relationship we’ve built from the beginning. We welcome you. We entertain you. We have fun together. Most times we agree and some other times we disagree. We listen, we learn. Most importantly we are open! That is why we proudly welcome old and young, black and white. That is why when we say we organise an Africa Night it is not an African Night. Neither is it a West Africa(n), East Africa(n), North Africa(n) nor a South Africa(n) Night. It has Africa as theme and that is reflected in the DNA of our public every time we have a show. If you love music of African influence and roots we are in a relationship with you! Africa Night is a brand. It is not built around one personality.
Damn, we know some of you since the beginning. We know some for longer than they even know their own kids. Some of you have met their life partners at Africa Night. Some have had their hearts broken there too (sorry for that!) Sometimes we quarrel but most times we are open and loving with each other. Every month, in whichever city we are, we receive your gifts of love and sometimes we give you some material gifts back. Yes, we are in a very open relationship with you. We are an open field. Everyone is welcome to play!
If you haven’t, please become friends with us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/africanight we would like to be in an open relationship with you too. While you are at it, please like our page www.facebook.com/africanight too! More than 1000 people already did! See you at the next Africa Night.
