Wonderful nights to remember

The third edition of the comeback of Africa Night to Rotterdam turned out to be a most fascinating one. The nicest thing about Rotterdam is that so far, the guests are always on time. That is very un-Africa Night and we are loving it! There were lots of people from far and wide from as far as Belgium and Zwolle. This is why we are always grateful. We know ours is not the only show in town. But the fact that people are willing to travel across provinces and countries to attend our shows continues to be a humbling experience for us. It keeps our feet firmly on the ground.

Sometimes the easier part is getting people to attend your show. The greater challenge is how to satisfy the musical tastes of a hall full of different people with varying tastes. It is a delicate balancing act. We like to think that the fact that Africa Night is going to celebrate its 16th birthday in May this year means most of the time, our deejays get it right. Happily, the majority of our guests knows you go out on such a night for the total experience. It is not to have the deejay play only the kind of music you as a very vocal individual want. Sometimes, if you are there for the first time, you might not know how it works. But please spare a thought for the poor soul behind the turntable and give him some love. If you want to hear only your own type of music, you can always hire our deejay for a private party. He has your music too. Relax and let the ambiance and the charm of the night transport you on a journey of new musical discovery.


Having said that, what a party we had! Maybe it is the location, maybe it is the ambiance. One thing is sure, the guests in Rotterdam are making Africa Night Rotterdam wonderful nights to remember. This time, like the times before, there were lots of dancers in the house and they made it one big party! We are sorry we are not in a position to make Africa Night Rotterdam a monthly event at the moment like many of you asked us during this edition. But we take it as a compliment that you are having fun too.

The next edition of Africa Night Rotterdam is on May 10 2014. If you cannot wait till then, you can always join us at Africa Night Tilburg which is held every 3rd Saturday of the month.
