Honestly, the October 2015 edition of Africa Night Tilburg was not sold-out as we have come to expect every October. We could not really put our fingers on why. So we won’t. However, what was obvious is that the Africa Night guests don’t need a hall packed full like sardines to be able to enjoy themselves.
It was one of those nights when it seemed the deejays and the guests were totally in sync with each other. When even DJ Sam starts to play Mbalax (which is something DJ Aziz only does), you know something out of the ordinary was happening. There were certainly a couple of people caught off guard. To us as the organisers, it is proof that our DJs are willing to be flexible and do whatever is right to make the guests feel at one with the dance floor. Of course it is an illusion to want to please everybody. But they (the DJs) always do their best.
There were so many new faces during this edition of Africa Night. Most were people invited by colleagues, families or friends. Positive word-of-mouth spreading the gospel of Africa Night to new disciples! It is one of those things that makes Africa Night what it is. There is always regeneration. When one set of people take a break, others take their place! It was nice to see that most of these new people also stayed till the end.
