The second edition of Africa Night Rotterdam has come and gone. It was a most enjoyable party. Two things became obvious to us after this edition; there is a real craving for a party like Africa Night in Rotterdam. The second thing is that we, as the organisers really have a lot of work ahead if we are to make Africa Night Rotterdam as great as Africa Night Tilburg. But we like the challenge.
The party people came earlier this time around. The hall was already more than half full by midnight. Although it took a while for the guests to embrace the dance floor, the music was great. But once they did take to the floor, it was really fun to see how much they enjoyed their night out. We had lot’s of guests come to us before, during and after the party to encourage us to organize similar party events in other cities in The Netherlands. We take that as a vote of confidence that we are doing a good job.
Happily this time around, it was not as hot inside the venue as the first time. In terms of numbers, there were just as much people as the last time. The striking thing though was the fact that more than half of the guests were not at the first edition. This is the kind of regeneration that we are used to in Tilburg. It is always good to have new faces every time. That way, it does not get boring.
We’ll have to find ways of expanding the show to make it bigger and better for the guests. It is a marathon and we are just at the beginning of the race. Next month promises to be even better.
